Cantor Benny Rogosnitzky, we have to say became what he is all thanks to the keen eye of Cantor Johnny Gluck. Today Benny is more known as cantor who brings devotion to life through music. One of the renowned Cantors of today, Benny started his career as soloist at the age of 16 with Johny Gluck. It was in the year 1996 that Benny attained the art of singing cantorial music.
Born in England, Benny Rogosnitzky before joining High Holiday Services at prestigious Brighton and Hove Synagogue had his schooling in Johannesburg and The Netherlands and Johannesburg. His love for cantorial music led him to open 'Cantor World' a center for cantor enthusiasts across the world.
Benny has a genuine voice, and this was one of the reasons why his songs were so soulful. An Orthodox Jew he practices what he sings. His success in carrying the cantorial message is visible when his singing runs to packed houses.
Benny Rogosnitzky accomplished his Master Degree in Music from Royal Manchester School of Music and Art. He was later appointed as the senior cantor of the prestigious Jewish Center on the Upper West Side; he continued to serve this organization for a period of 13 years.
