Benny Rogosnitzky representing cantorial music

Benny Rogosnitzky became a cantor at a very young age; he began his singing career when he was just 16 years old, as a soloist. Cantor Johnny Gluck who spotted the talent in him and inspired him to take up Cantorial music.

Benny Rogosnitzky, is an icon in cantorial music and has conducted concerts around the world. His one of the memorable performance of Memorial Concert Riverdale Jewish Center is often recalled, besides Benny also recorded his first CD for High Holiday Music.

Born in Liverpool, England, Benny has gone on to create a place for himself. He was famous for his comforting voice and the crowds from all around the places would throng in to see him perform. He was already a crowd-puller since 16 years when he started performing.

Benny is known to be an intelligent Cantor and he is one of those few to have worked with some of the best cantors in the world. Well-versed in classic Jewish Chazzanut Music and traditional chazzonus, Benny did his Masters Degree in Music from the Royal Manchester School of Music and Art.

In the year 1996 Benny Rogosnitzky was chosen as the senior cantor of the prestigious Jewish Center on the Upper West Side, he served here for 13 years. He then started 'Cantors World’ to promote the conventional chazzonus with better programs. He even initiated a choir band. As the founder member of ‘Cantor World’, Benny Rogosnitzky frequently participated in cantorial events.
